Hey everyone! I know it has been more than a week since I posted (I was on a trip) but now I am back! I have realized that this blog has such an extremely low amount of views. Yep, my fault I know, I need to post more and make this blog more entertaining and helpful. To do that I am going to add my experiences and what I see when people help each other. I would also love to add a "Person of the Month!" This person will be someone who helps others in outstanding ways and deserves to be honored.
You or someone you know could be "Person of the Month"!
To become person of the month you need to email me with a reason for why you or someone else should get this honor. I will choose someone who has done something outstandingly helpful. As Person of the Month you will be featured in a post, and your picture will be on the side of my blog for the entire month.
So, send in your April submissions.
Also, please tell your friends/family about this blog, I need your support to keep it up and running.

Ways to Fundraise #2
Fundraising #2
Surprise! I finally showed up with the next fundraising idea. This idea is absolutely perfect for all ages and all causes, here you go
Rubber bracelets! Yep, we all know them and love them but have you ever considered purchasing a large amount for a cause? They are a fun way for people to show that they support the cause and you can sell them to earn money for that cause.
Though this fundraising idea is short and simple, it can bring in the big bucks for your cause!
Here is a reliable site to purchase and customize these fantastic bracelets, if you have not hear of them than your missing out

Ways to Fund Raise #1
I decided to do a segment on creative ways to raise money for a charity or friend, so here is the first way.
This one I learned when I was in fifth grade.
Materials:
1. large empty water jug from one of the water dispensers at places like dentists offices or waiting rooms.
2. a large group of people, a class works great or an office.
What you do is you place the Jug in an easily accessible place where a large group of people can get to it. This is mainly for classrooms but I am sure you can adapt it to different settings. Tell of your students/friends that you are raising money for something. Educate them on what it is and have them make a label for the jug. Next, tell them that the jug will be used to collect change. Whenever a kid has spare change in their pocket they can put it into the jug. Set a goal to fill the entire jug with change and once they do, take them on a field trip or do a fun project. It is really fun for all of the kids to watch the change get larger and larger.
And that's it. My class was able to find a sponsor who said that they would match our classes donation. We filled two jugs with change and made $500 our sponsor matched it and we were able to send $1,000 to our charity (Malaria tents for people in Africa). It was incredible and went very well
Have fun and keep your eye out for the next few posts of fundraising ideas

A Fun Way to Donate!
Everyone knows that money donations, as well as other donations go a long way in the world of helping others. But, it is always a challenge to gather money to do this. It is very kind to take some bucks out of your savings, but that can be very hard. So, here is an easy way to gather and donate money!
First, get a jar or piggy bank, preferably not clear. Next, label it with a date of when you plan to donate the money, it should be about a month or longer. This works really well with kids piggy banks because some are glazed and can be written on with a dry erase marker, you can also use some tape and just write on that.
Next, go to the mall! Yep that's right, go to the mall. Your main goal is to gather change you see lying around on the ground, this also works well in a parking lot or school. DO NOT ask anyone for money, but if you see a penny on the ground, pick it up. If you feel like buying something at the mall, pay for it with cash and put the change in your jar, this way you are both getting something for yourself, and helping others. It is easy to walk by a penny and think that it is worth nothing, but when you collect them it really adds up.
Lastly, put your gathered change from each day in your jar! Only open your jar when you reach the date you wrote on it, this makes everything so much more exciting. Then, have fun counting your money! I found that in a two months, I already have $37! Its that easy.
Then, donate to your cause! If you want to change lives directly, donate to a fun that helps people, or donate to person who really needs the money. I am saving my money for a friend in the hospital, though it may take a while to earn a substantial amount of money, I know that it is helping.
So make a game out of it, have fun and enjoy this way to make money to donate without having to do much more than wander around places where people drop change. I must say, if you're in high school, than this will be easy.
