Music is Key

For some unknown reason music holds so much power and emotion. Many people can use music change their life and adapt to their surroundings, so today I bring you the ability to change lives through music!

Here are someways to use music to change lives:

When you give someone a beautiful song that reminds you of that person, it can mean so much. Beautiful songs that relate to us humans are like giant compliments, and to give someone the fact that a nice song reminds you of them can be so sweet and generous. It can truly make someone's day. So, if you notice a song that reminds you of someone who needs something to lift their spirits.

Write a song! Like I said above, songs hold so much power and to write one shows love and care. Writing a song for an individual person is beautiful and can make that person feel so warm inside. You can also sell your song on itunes if you want to raise money for someone.

Make someone a nice cd/playlist. A playlist for someone can be so sweet and they can listen to it while doing almost anything, it is a gift that can last for ages and can be used in so many different situations.

If you have any other music related ideas to change lives, please share them in the comments

Baking!

Baking, the classic way to make people feel better! Hey everyone, for today's suggestion on how to change lives in easy ways, you word is baking! Cooking food for someone in need or not in need is a very sweet thing to do that interacts with people directly. So, next time you find yourself bored in your living room, shuffle off to the kitchen and bake something for someone! That someone can be a neighbor, a friend, a family in the hospital, a homeless shelter, or even a homeless person sitting on the side of the road asking for money. Hand these people something scrumptious and it will help them in extreme ways. If your friends family is staying in the hospital, bring them a freshly baked pie to remind them of home. If your neighbors cat just passed away, bring them some cookies to sweeten their day. Food makes a difference and is easy to make!

Here are some food suggestions you should make for people:

Cookies
Pie
Lasagna
Bark
Salad
Hot Sandwich
Lemonade
Cider

PS: don't buy a pie or cookies from a grocery store, they only taste good when they are made from the heart. If you have a local bakery and you can't bake, get something there.

You are still welcome to submit your person of the month for April

Spice This Blog Up!

Hey everyone! I know it has been more than a week since I posted (I was on a trip) but now I am back! I have realized that this blog has such an extremely low amount of views. Yep, my fault I know, I need to post more and make this blog more entertaining and helpful. To do that I am going to add my experiences and what I see when people help each other. I would also love to add a "Person of the Month!" This person will be someone who helps others in outstanding ways and deserves to be honored.

You or someone you know could be "Person of the Month"!
To become person of the month you need to email me with a reason for why you or someone else should get this honor. I will choose someone who has done something outstandingly helpful. As Person of the Month you will be featured in a post, and your picture will be on the side of my blog for the entire month.

So, send in your April submissions.

Also, please tell your friends/family about this blog, I need your support to keep it up and running.

Ways to Fundraise #2

Fundraising #2

Surprise! I finally showed up with the next fundraising idea. This idea is absolutely perfect for all ages and all causes, here you go

Rubber bracelets! Yep, we all know them and love them but have you ever considered purchasing a large amount for a cause? They are a fun way for people to show that they support the cause and you can sell them to earn money for that cause.

Though this fundraising idea is short and simple, it can bring in the big bucks for your cause!

Here is a reliable site to purchase and customize these fantastic bracelets, if you have not hear of them than your missing out

Ways to Fund Raise #1

I decided to do a segment on creative ways to raise money for a charity or friend, so here is the first way.
This one I learned when I was in fifth grade.

Materials:
1. large empty water jug from one of the water dispensers at places like dentists offices or waiting rooms.
2. a large group of people, a class works great or an office.

What you do is you place the Jug in an easily accessible place where a large group of people can get to it. This is mainly for classrooms but I am sure you can adapt it to different settings. Tell of your students/friends that you are raising money for something. Educate them on what it is and have them make a label for the jug. Next, tell them that the jug will be used to collect change. Whenever a kid has spare change in their pocket they can put it into the jug. Set a goal to fill the entire jug with change and once they do, take them on a field trip or do a fun project. It is really fun for all of the kids to watch the change get larger and larger.

And that's it. My class was able to find a sponsor who said that they would match our classes donation. We filled two jugs with change and made $500 our sponsor matched it and we were able to send $1,000 to our charity (Malaria tents for people in Africa). It was incredible and went very well

Have fun and keep your eye out for the next few posts of fundraising ideas

A Fun Way to Donate!

Everyone knows that money donations, as well as other donations go a long way in the world of helping others. But, it is always a challenge to gather money to do this. It is very kind to take some bucks out of your savings, but that can be very hard. So, here is an easy way to gather and donate money!

First, get a jar or piggy bank, preferably not clear. Next, label it with a date of when you plan to donate the money, it should be about a month or longer. This works really well with kids piggy banks because some are glazed and can be written on with a dry erase marker, you can also use some tape and just write on that.

Next, go to the mall! Yep that's right, go to the mall. Your main goal is to gather change you see lying around on the ground, this also works well in a parking lot or school. DO NOT ask anyone for money, but if you see a penny on the ground, pick it up. If you feel like buying something at the mall, pay for it with cash and put the change in your jar, this way you are both getting something for yourself, and helping others. It is easy to walk by a penny and think that it is worth nothing, but when you collect them it really adds up.

Lastly, put your gathered change from each day in your jar! Only open your jar when you reach the date you wrote on it, this makes everything so much more exciting. Then, have fun counting your money! I found that in a two months, I already have $37! Its that easy.

Then, donate to your cause! If you want to change lives directly, donate to a fun that helps people, or donate to person who really needs the money. I am saving my money for a friend in the hospital, though it may take a while to earn a substantial amount of money,  I know that it is helping.

So make a game out of it, have fun and enjoy this way to make money to donate without having to do much more than wander around places where people drop change. I must say, if you're in high school, than this will be easy.

Have fun!

Choose A Career

One of the best, but most difficult ways to help the people around you, is to choose a life changing career. Of course, all careers are necessary and help certain people in indirect ways, but some jobs really make a direct difference. If you really want to dedicate your life to people in need, than having a job that does this can be very incredible.

I am someone who wants to change people's lives directly, I like to hear from the people or to be able to know that I am helping them. I find that changing peoples lives is what I am on this planet for, as well as many other people. So, why not look into a career that I would love and would change lives.

I currently plan to become a pediatric nurse. This is because I love helping kids in the hospital, and this job really really makes a difference. So, when you are thinking about what career you want to have, consider what you would love, and what would help others. Like I said, all careers can be incredible, though if you really want to see changes, go for it and look into a career that people really admire.

There are hundreds of careers that do this, but here is a list of 5
Teacher
Parent
Nurse/ Doctor       :)
Volunteering  (not exactly a career)
Policeman

Like I said, those are only a few.
If you have already dedicated yourself to another career, than volunteering is your action. You can know in your heart that you are changing lives indirectly, but consider adding in some of the other techniques to help people. As long as you are happy in your career, than it is absolutely fantastic!

This is a huge thing to do to change lives, but if you are interested, than go to collage for something that you know you can dedicate your life to. This is not a necessary step for people who want to change lives, but it is something.

Good luck, and keep changing the careers
Please post other careers that change lives in the comments below

Be There for People

Welcome to the first way to change people's lives, this is called being there for people. Read on to see how you can make a difference in this easy way

When trying to change lives it is easy to get caught up in the larger things like donating large sums of money, and volunteering in far away third world countries. Well, although that is very kind, it can be costly and difficult. An easy way to change lives is right from your computer or phone!

Many people need comfort due to disaster, medical issues, anxiety, poverty, and many more, from your home you can make these peoples lives better. What you do, is you go to a chat site (yahoo works well) or forums for people who want to relate to other people with problems. You don't want to go barging in there interrupting their peace, (they may feel upset since you cant directly say you know what they are going through)  but you can quietly post a topic about you wanting to help others via email. Say in your post that you are there for them, and would love to talk with them about ANYTHING (don't make them talk about what is going on, chances are they may want to escape all that talk and discuss something normal). Post an email address where you want these conversations to take place, and click send. When someone emails you, make friendly conversation, have fun with them, become friends. Listen to everything they want to say. Everyone needs to vent sometimes, and you can be there for those people.

This is an easy and deeply rewarding way to change peoples lives. You may not get many emails, but when you get one, put your heart and soul into making that persons life more relaxing.

There are many forums for people seeking others like them, all can be accessed using the google search. If you need help finding some, post in the comment box below and I can help you.

Help people with things going on that you are interested in, it keeps you connected. I for one am interested in oncology, so I find myself supporting those with cancer.

This way to help people is a direct way to help others, with immediate results, it pulls you close to helping others, and seeing how much you can change someones life.

I thank you all for reading today's post, I know that you will change lives

-I do want to remind you all, not to be pushy or ask too many questions, be polite and be a genuine listening friend

Welcome

Welcome! I see that you have somehow stumbled through the vast Internet, wandering past the chilly wilderness of cold words and tragic news, dawdling past those silly pictures of cute hamsters, and carefully avoiding that social network you so desperately want to check. But look where all that stumbling got you! I am so glad you found your way to this currently meek little blog that will soon become powerful and encouraging.

What is this blog you ask? Well, I shall tell you. This blog is a home to all of you wanderers who are searching for something to do with your life or how to be someone important and memorable. Of course, those of you who have a different goal, your welcome here as well. The goal of this blog is to introduce people to ways that they can change the lives of people. I believe that the point to my life, is to make other peoples lives more incredible, which in turn, does the same for me. If you feel the same way, than from each post that I post, you will discover how to achieve this.

Enjoy, I know that you can change lives beside me.
